UNHCR Shines the Light for Flood Survivors

11 Nov 11 Mr.James Lynch, UNHCR Representative in Thailand hands over 5,000 solar lanterns worth 7.5 million Baht to Mr.Pranai Suwannarat, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior for the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation to distribute to people affected by floods. In addition, UNHCR donated 1.5 million Baht to the Prime Minister's Office Disaster Victims' Assistance Fund.  UNHCR is grateful for Thailand’s hospitality in hosting refugees and wishes to be part of the community to provide emergency support.
