UNHCR Helps Flood Victims in Tak province

UNHCR donated 250 plastic sheets under ECHO funding and cash to the Thai Red Cross to aid flood victims in Tak provincial areas.

 

TAK, Thailand, August 1 (UNHCR), two hundred and fifty (250) pieces of UNHCR plastic sheeting under ECHO funding have been donated to the Thai Red Cross for distribution to the people affected by floods in Tak province. The items were received by the Maesot District Chief Khun Preecha Jaiphet on behalf the Thai Red Cross and Special Operation Chief of the Tak District, (Palat) Akraphan Poonsiri. In addition, UNHCR staff contribution for the flood victims was also handed over to the relief contingent. 

UNHCR is grateful for Thailand’s hospitality in hosting refugees and wishes to be part of the community to provide emergency support.
