Under the overall supervision of the Associate PSP Officer (Head of PSP Team) in charge of PSP Thailand operation, the individual contractor will assist in the following:


  • Assist the Head of PSP to develop the Private Partnerships and Philanthropy (PPH) strategy for Thailand
  • Identify potential partners and donors from corporations, foundations and philanthropists in Thailand, and build up the relationships with the prospects,
  • Assist to develop fundraising proposals for submission to the prospects in line with the PPH  strategies and action plans;
  • Assist in producing the annual plans including financial budget for PPH fundraising programmes and execute the annual budget implementation throughout the year,
  • Assist to maintain and strengthen the partnerships with the existing PPH donors by providing daily care/support services to them;
  • Assist to enhance the PPH stewardship in line with the global PPH strategies and policies.
  • Liaise with global and regional PPH staff as well as field colleagues, when necessary to provide information and answers to the PPH donors;
  • Conduct preliminary due diligence screening research about potential PPH donors, and process the due diligence clearance with the focal point of the global PPH unit;
  • Monitor market trends related to the overall PSP activities, particularly PPH;
  • Draft regular and annual reports to the PPH donors in a timely fashion and submit the reports to the PPH donors concerned after getting clearance from the supervisor;
  • Process the donation confirmation issuance, upon receipt of the donations from PPH donors and send it to the donors in timely manner;
  • Process income recording
  • Attend local meetings, events and conferences related to the PPH activities in Thailand, and assist to organize briefings, meetings and/or events for UNHCR to PPH donors;
  • Perform other responsibilities/functions deemed necessary or as delegated by the Representative/Associate PSP Officer in order to meet the level of the services in the organization


Qualifications and Required Competencies


  • Completion of secondary or high school education with post-secondary, certificate/training in the private sector fundraising, communications and marketing or other related discipline.
  • Fluency in English and Thai language (both written and spoken).
  • Minimum six year’s experience in private sector fundraising, communications and marketing with at least one year experience in working with an international NGO or the UN preferable
  • Proven experience working in raising funds from corporations, foundations and philanthropists
  • Interpersonal skill and excellent in building relationship
  • Ability to analyze performance report will be an advantage
  • Experience in providing training and motivation is preferred
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Well-organised to manage several stakeholders and ensure to deliver according to deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to deal with multiple tasks in a courteous and service oriented manner in a demanding working condition
  • Mature, polite and a team player is essential.
  • Demonstrated knowledge the NGO sector and private sector fundraising
  • Ability to work and deliver under tight deadlines
  • Excellent knowledge of English / written, oral, comprehension
  • Ability to interface effectively and professionally with key UNHCR staff
